Custom fence and gate construction for privacy, property lines, and curb appeal.
Fences and Gates in Crawfordville, and what the damp does to it
In the wetter parts of Crawfordville, fence posts tend to be the first thing to go, right where they meet the ground, while the panels above them are often still sound. We replace what has actually failed rather than quoting a whole new fence line by default, and we set the new posts with the moisture in mind so the repair lasts.
Crawfordville sits in Wakulla County, where the shade and the Gulf humidity keep the air damp for much of the year. We choose materials and finishes with that in mind.
We build and repair wood fencing, including the gates that usually fail first. That covers new privacy fence, replacing sections that have rotted or leaned, and building wide rolling gates for driveways and side yards.

Out here the materials matter as much as the design. We choose materials and hardware made for constant moisture, because in this climate that is what decides how long the work lasts.

Fences and Gates in Crawfordville Questions
What takes a fence down fastest around here?
Root heave under the posts and constant damp where the wood meets the ground. Kevin sets and anchors the posts for the conditions, because the posts are what fail first, not the panels.
Can you repair part of a fence instead of the whole line?
Yes. If the panels are sound and it is the gate or a run of posts that has gone, Kevin replaces what has actually failed rather than quoting a whole new fence by default.
Does the coastal humidity around Crawfordville change what you use?
Yes. The humidity off the Gulf sits under the tree cover out here and works on any wood that does not get enough sun to dry, faster than it would on a drier lot in town. So we choose materials and hardware made for that kind of moisture, and we build so air can move under and around the wood, which is what gives an outdoor project its best chance of lasting around Crawfordville.
Do you get out to Crawfordville, or is it too far?
Not too far at all. Crawfordville is a regular trip for us and well within the area we cover south of Tallahassee, so getting out to you is rarely a question.

Most fences and gates jobs in Crawfordville start the same way. Amanda comes back to you within 24 hours and books a time that suits you, and the detailed estimate follows once Kevin has seen it.
