Sheetrock and Finishing in a Crawfordville home, in town or further out
Sheetrock work around Crawfordville is often one part of a bigger update, new cabinets, trim or doors going in and the walls around them brought back to a smooth, paint ready finish. The goal is seams and patches you cannot pick out once the paint is on and the afternoon light comes across the wall, and Kevin gives the finishing the time it needs to get there.
Crawfordville is the seat of Wakulla County, and the homes here run from older wood framed ones in town to newer ones out toward Wakulla Springs.
Hanging sheetrock and finishing it well are two different skills, and the finish is the part you see every day. We hang board on walls and ceilings, tape, mud and sand it to a paint-ready finish, and patch water damage, holes and cracks. Patching takes care, since it needs to be feathered out well past the damage so the repair does not show once light crosses the wall, and ceilings take longer still, because any unevenness shows more readily overhead. And because we are often already fitting your trim, doors and cabinetry, the drywall around that work is finished by the same people, so it all comes together cleanly.
What Sheetrock and Finishing Typically Involves
- Board hung on walls and ceilings, taped, mudded and sanded
- Water damage, holes and cracks feathered out to disappear
- Seams and screw lines that do not telegraph through the paint
- Sanded to paint ready, not left at primed
- Finished by the same people fitting your trim and doors

Sheetrock and Finishing in Crawfordville Questions
Do you finish drywall to a paint ready state?
Yes. Kevin hangs, tapes, muds and sands to a paint ready finish. A common job here is undoing a shortcut left by someone before, a sheet of drywall standing proud of the plaster wall around it, floated back flat until the eye cannot find the seam.
Can you patch a hole or a bad drywall repair?
Yes. Patching, skim coating and blending a repair into the surrounding wall is a lot of what Kevin does, and the goal is that you cannot see where the patch was.
Do you work on newer homes around Crawfordville as well as older ones?
Yes, both. In an older home that can mean working with the details that are already there, and in a newer one it is often about upgrading builder-grade finishes to something you chose. Kevin fits the approach to the home.
Do you get out to Crawfordville, or is it too far?
Not too far at all. Crawfordville is a regular trip for us and well within the area we cover south of Tallahassee, so getting out to you is rarely a question.
How fast can you get to Crawfordville for sheetrock and finishing?
Most sheetrock and finishing jobs in Crawfordville start the same way. Amanda comes back to you within 24 hours and books a time that suits you, and the detailed estimate follows once Kevin has seen it.
