Custom Carpentry in Quincy, FL
One-off builds and the projects that do not fit a standard service list. If you are not sure, it is worth asking.
Custom Carpentry for a grand older Quincy home
On Quincy's older homes, the one-off work is often the porch details, the railings, the trim and the pieces around the columns that take the weather and that owners most want brought back into good shape. Kevin builds the replacements to suit the home, whether you want them close to the originals or simplified to something cleaner. There is no stock size for this kind of work, so it is built to the porch you actually have.
Quincy is the seat of Gadsden County, known for how much of its old-town character has stayed intact. For us that means a lot of grand older homes where an update has to fit the home it is going into.
If it is made of wood and needs to fit a specific spot, it is worth asking. We build accent walls, floating shelves, mantels and handrails, and take on the projects someone else started and did not finish. After more than 30 years, there is very little Kevin has not built at some point.

Custom Carpentry in Quincy Questions
What if my project does not fit a standard service?
That is what custom carpentry is for. One-off builds, odd repairs, a piece built to fit a specific spot, the things that do not have their own page. After 30 years there is not much Kevin has not built, so ask.
Can you build from a photo or an idea rather than a plan?
Yes. Bring a photo or describe it the way you would to a neighbor. Kevin works out the how, and the questions he asks while he is looking at the space are what the estimate gets built from.
Do you work on the grand older homes around Quincy?
Yes, they are a lot of our work here. What people want varies. Some want a room updated to feel current, and others want to keep the older character and simply make it work better. Kevin builds to the room as it has settled and follows your lead on how much of the original to carry through.
Does work on an older Quincy home cost more?
It can take longer, so it can cost more, and we say that in the estimate rather than discovering it halfway through. On a home this age the work is rarely standard and cannot be rushed, so the estimate reflects the real time it takes.
How fast can you get to Quincy for custom carpentry?
Most custom carpentry jobs in Quincy start the same way. Amanda comes back to you within 24 hours and books a time that suits you, and the detailed estimate follows once Kevin has seen it.
