Kitchen Renovations in Tallahassee: two different jobs
A kitchen renovation in Tallahassee is really about making the room work for how you cook and live now. In the older parts of town that can mean improving a layout that was changed over the years and no longer flows well, while in the newer neighborhoods it is more often about replacing builder-grade cabinets and finishes with something you chose. Kevin plans the kitchen around the way you actually use it, then builds to the room.
Leon County runs from the 1920s to 1950s homes of neighborhoods like Myers Park and Betton Hills to the planned communities of the Killearns, and we work on both.
We take kitchens from layout through final trim, custom or prebuilt cabinetry, cabinet installation, flooring and the finish carpentry that ties it together. We do not install countertops ourselves, but we work with a stone countertop company and can refer you to them. Kevin assesses the space himself and prices it properly before anything is torn out.

Your Kitchen Renovations Process in Tallahassee
Older homes here have usually settled over the years, so we measure and cut on site rather than pre-cutting to a plan. It takes a little longer, and it is why the joints close tight.

Kitchen Renovations in Tallahassee Questions
Do you move plumbing or electrical during a kitchen remodel?
That part is not ours. Kevin does the cabinetry, trim, tile and finish work, which is most of a kitchen. If the layout needs the sink or a circuit moved, he tells you up front and points you to a licensed plumber or electrician for that piece.
Can you install cabinets I already bought for the kitchen?
Yes. If you have picked cabinets out and they came assembled, Kevin installs them. If they arrived flat pack, he assembles them too. If the room calls for something built to its real size, he builds that instead. Tell Amanda which you are after when you call.
Do you work on older homes around Tallahassee?
Yes. Older Tallahassee homes can come with unique dimensions, original trim, and architectural details that aren't always available off the shelf. When repairs or updates are needed, we take the time to work with what's already there, whether that means carefully matching existing details or creating custom pieces for the home.
Does it matter whether my Tallahassee home is older or newer?
Yes. Tallahassee has a mix of older homes with original character and newer homes with more modern construction. Older homes may have unique dimensions, original trim, or details that require careful matching or custom carpentry, while newer homes may have builder-grade finishes homeowners want to upgrade or personalize. We work with both and tailor the approach to the home and the project.
