Custom Decks in Midway, FL
Decks built, repaired and resurfaced, with treated or composite decking.
Custom Decks in Midway, where the homes are newer
Midway has some of the largest lots we build on, so decks here are often planned bigger than they would be in town. Because the homes are newer, this is usually the first deck the home has had rather than a replacement, so the conversation is about size, height and where the stairs land rather than how much of an old frame is worth saving. Kevin plans it around how your yard actually gets used.
Midway sits on Interstate 10 in Gadsden County, between the Little River and the Ochlockonee, about fifteen minutes from Tallahassee.
We build new decks, repair existing decks and resurface decks when the framing is sound. Our deck framing is built with pressure-treated wood, with your choice of pressure-treated wood or composite decking. Stairs, railings and framing can also be repaired or rebuilt as needed. If an existing deck is too deteriorated to make resurfacing a good option, we will tell you and recommend rebuilding instead. Every project is built and fitted on site to suit your home and space.

Custom Decks we have finished
A few of the projects we photographed. We do not get a picture of every job we finish.
-
Brown composite deck along the home
Brown composite decking run along the side of the home to a white porch, picture framed all the way around, with one corner cut at an angle.
Custom Decks -
Composite deck at a screened porch
Low profile, picture framed on all four sides, sitting just proud of the grass. Composite costs more up front and asks for nothing afterwards, which in this climate is worth putting on the table.
Custom Decks -
Deck, stairs and handrail
Stairs and a graspable rail off a back door, part of a deck Kevin rebuilt from the framing up. The posts and joists underneath are the part nobody photographs and the part that decides how long it lasts.

It is clear that Kevin knows what he is doing. It is great to also see a father working with his son to teach him the trade!

Custom Decks in Midway Questions
Can you resurface my deck instead of rebuilding it?
Usually, yes. On most decks the framing has held up and it is the boards, stairs and railings that have gone, so new decking goes on the frame you already have. If the frame is genuinely finished, Kevin will say so rather than putting good boards on a bad deck.
Treated wood or composite for a deck?
The framing is pressure treated wood every time. The choice is in the surface, treated decking or composite over the top. Composite costs more up front and asks for less afterwards, which in this climate is worth putting on the table.
Our home is newer. Is there anything worth doing outside?
Often quite a bit. Lots around Midway tend to be on the larger side, which usually leaves room for a deck or a pergola and for a privacy fence with a wide driveway gate. Kevin looks at the whole yard in person before planning where each one goes.
How quickly can you get to Midway?
Quickly. It is a straight run down Interstate 10 and one of the shorter drives we make, so getting to you is rarely the constraint. Amanda will confirm the timing when you get in touch.
How fast can you get to Midway for custom decks?
Most custom decks jobs in Midway start the same way. Amanda comes back to you within 24 hours and books a time that suits you, and the detailed estimate follows once Kevin has seen it.
